What is Functional Medicine?
Functional Medicine is a personalized, patient-centered, science-based approach to healthcare for treating the individual, not just the disease. It is being proactive about prevention, elevating health and improving longevity. This is done by taking a closer look at the causes of complex chronic diseases. Using an integrative approach, our team looks into the complex network of interactions that lead to the patient’s illness. This is all taken from the patient’s extensive history, advanced labs and lifestyle evaluation. Starting from the inside and working out, we can identify any imbalances in the body and begin to develop a personalized plan that addresses the needs of our patient.
Whether you are looking to optimize your health or are recovering from an illness, functional medicine gets to the root of the problem to determine the best plan of action.

Here at Hudson Wellness, we offer a six-month program for people who are looking to optimize their health and prevent disease with a personalized healthcare plan. Even if you have an existing disease, we can help you with alternative treatments. It all starts by scheduling an initial appointment. It’s all about you and your personal health goals and story. What are the things that we can help you change to make better choices for a healthier lifestyle?
You will schedule an appointment with our Functional Medicine Physician for the initial meeting. We will then determine what type of testing is needed through comprehensive blood work.
First Follow Up Appointment (Two weeks after the initial meeting)
You will meet with the Functional Medicine team where they will go over labs and determine the proper course of treatment. Following this visit our Nutritionist will make a health plan to share with you.
Second Follow Up Appointment (Month 3)
Our Nutritionists will go over lifestyle, diet, and supplementation recommendations. They will also determine if the plan needs to be adjusted to better suit your needs.
Third Follow Up Appointment (Month 4)
Our Nutritionist will continue to support you and address challenges and any questions you have with your current health plan.
Fourth Follow Up Appointment (Month 5)
You will meet with the Functional Medicine team to do any follow up testing and to discuss the changes implemented so far.
