Q&A with Dr. Phillips

What is the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship and why?
Open communication is vital. I want my patients to fully understand diagnoses and treatment options to make the most informed decisions regarding their medical care.

What do you love about practicing medicine?
I love the connections formed between myself and my patients. I trust them and they trust me.
Do you practice any sports?
I’ve played baseball and basketball most of my life.
What do you enjoy doing when not at work?
Trying new restaurants and breweries, hiking, and going to the gym. I am trying to visit all of the national parks, and I just returned from Yellowstone and Grand Teton.

What would you do for a living if you weren't a doctor?
Open a gym or personal training
