Evoke/eVox EEG-based Cognitive Testing
What is a Evoke/eVox?
Evoke/eVox measures brain health to aid doctors in the diagnosis of cognitive disorders. By measuring brain function directly, physicians can enhance their clinical workup beyond standard subjective patient questionnaires. eVox provides clinically actionable and objective biomarkers of brain health pertinent to conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, mild cognitive impairment, and other cognitive disorders.
Evoke/eVox uses electroencephalography (EEG) to reveal biomarkers of physiological aging and memory performance. This can allow for the early detection of memory loss and MCI. It also measures Event-Related Potentials (ERPs), which reflect brain processing speed for cognitive processes like decision making, attention, and memory. ERP testing can reveal early risk measures of dementia.
How does an Evoke/eVox test work?
Evoke/eVox testing can help providers determine the underlying cause of your symptoms. Unhealthy brain function could be causing symptoms related to memory loss, chronic pain, and chronic stress. It is a non-invasive test. You will wear a standard EEG cap that will measure your brainwaves.
The Evoke/eVox report will tell your doctor how well your brain functions while performing tasks, paying attention, and processing information. Your report will also show measurements of your body’s resilience. The report may identify areas of your brain that are not functioning optimally. Your doctor may recommend some changes in nutrition, medications, or biofeedback therapy to optimize your brain function.
