The goji berry, also called the wolfberry, comes from a shrub native to China and has been a natural part of Asian cuisine for generations. Similar to blueberries, raspberries, and other plants, goji berries are high in antioxidants that are known to alleviate oxidative stress and have many health protective benefits – such as preventing free radicals from damaging DNA, lipids (fats), and proteins.1
In addition to its antioxidant effect, goji berries are popular for their anti-aging benefits. These berries contain betaine, a potent anti-inflammatory compound that prevents UVB irradiation-induced skin aging. Betaine also prevents cancerous tumors from growing in the colon!1 And on top of all of that, they taste amazing. - 8 ounces coconut water
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ raspberries
- ¼ cup goji berries
- Juice from 1 lime
- 5 mint leaves
Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
