Chronic Pain? Try Physical Therapy.

Chronic Pain? Try Physical Therapy.

Staying active is an important factor in keeping pain away. Studies have shown that those who exercise greater than three times per week have 28% less chronic musculoskeletal complaints.

At Hudson Wellness your Physical Therapist will carefully analyze your body and movement pattern and develop a custom treatment program. The custom program will work to help relieve pain and improve function. After a detailed evaluation, your Physical Therapist will work with you using a variety of treatments. Which could include manual (hands-on therapy), appropriate movement, and exercise to restore or improve movement. Individualized treatment programs can help you determine safe levels of activity and guide you in returning back to your “normal” life.

Research shows people tend to have fewer long-term problems & recover faster when they return to daily activities in a timely manner. Not all resting is healing. There are many different factors that can lead to chronic musculoskeletal pain. Some of those include: long term inactivity, poor posture, ineffective body mechanics, incorrect movement patterns, muscle imbalances, limited range of motion, insufficient joint mobility, overuse, past injuries, compensation, fear of use, stress, and more. Physical Therapy is one of the safest methods of treating and managing pain.
